Matthew 9:35-38
35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." The question I pose today is, "What kind of impact, if any, are we (the church) having in our country, cities and neighborhoods today?" The Bible says that Jesus went about teaching, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness he encountered. Wow! It looks like we have a lot of work and praying to do. It's important that we be like Jesus who had compassion on the people because they were lost, helpless, and like sheep without a shepherd. During our September Prayer Fast, let's pray and ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest field. Also, will you consider to be one of the workers God can use for His harvest? Will you be counted among those to have compassion on lost, hurting, and broken people? Pray during this Prayer Fast and ask God for His will and purpose for you as you remember the words of Jesus: "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." Take time to assess the spiritual condition of your city. If we want our land to be transformed we must stand in the watchtower like Habakkuk. If you are called as a gatekeeper to your city as Habakkuk was to his, start right now guarding the doors to your city; your neighborhood; your street; your home. Child of the Most High God, You have authority given you by God in the name of Jesus. Therefore, you declare by His authority what comes in and goes out your city. You declare if injustice, idolatry, and greed has to leave; you declare if the door is open to blessings, good health, and good education. The time is now! We must take up the watchman post before it is too late. Woe to us if we don't! Pastor Jacobs Hi Everyone,
Our prayer fast is soon to begin and I want to encourage you to set aside an hour that you can fast and pray for yourselves, family, friends, neighbors, church, children, country, nation, leaders, etc. I am listing a few declarations you may want to pray/declare daily during your hour of prayer. Psalm 1:3 DECLARE: I am like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, I am yielding fruit in season—NOW! THIS IS MY SEASON; my leaf does not wither and in whatever I do, I prosper. Psalm 27:13: DECLARE: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Jeremiah 30:17: DECLARE: You are restoring health to me and healing my wounds Lord. Proverbs 11:25 DECLARE: I will be exceedingly generous and I will be exceedingly prosperous. I water and I am watered. Please add your own special declarations and prayer concerns as we unite together in our Prayer Fast beginning this Sunday, July 24th at midnight through Thursday, July 28th at midnight. Pastor Jacobs Hello Intercessors and all of you who will join in our Prayer Fast July 24th-28th: I have listed below just one example of what to pray for during the Prayer Fast using Scripture as an example.

Pastor Jacobs Preparation for Our Prayer Fast Begin now to pray about the best hour of the day that you will spend in prayer and also be able to refrain from eating for one hour without being disturbed by anyone. Many of you have said that you plan to pray and fast for longer periods of time. That is fine. However, we want to be sure every hour of the 24 hour period is covered. Some tips to help keep you focused for the hour you plan to pray:
Take a moment now and share the time or times you plan to pray and fast in your comment(s). Thank you. An Intercessor will be praying for you and we know that our God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we can ever ask or think according to the power that works in us! Hallelujah!
